Windows Live Writer is a desktop application, freely distributed by Microsoft. It is used for publishing posts to the most widely used blogging systems. .Net BlogEngine also is supported.
Prerequisites: Live Writer works on Windows XP or Vista and you should have an Weblog and valid editor account.
Step 1. Download the program wlsetup-web.exe from http://download.live.com/writer and execute it. Please don’t forget to install Live Writer program among others.
Step 2. Start Windows Live Writer. You can find it in the Windows menu, group Windows Live:
Step 3. Choose from menu Blogs | Add Weblog Account. In the dialog select Another weblog service and click Next:
Step 4. Fill the address of your weblog Home page, username and password:
Step 5. Wait while Live Writer is trying to connect to your .Net BlogEngine Blog. If error, you will should to repeat the previous step.
Step 6. Click Yes to be sure that everything is OK.
Step 7. Live Writer has determined your Weblog name and Provider. Leave the Switch to this weblog now checked. Click Finish:
Step 8. You can publish a post right now. Fill the Post Title and add some post content below. Click on Publish button which is situated first left on toolbar.
Your blog will be opened and you’ll see the new post.
